Celebrate Neighbourhood House Week
Neighbourhood House week is a week long celebration that Neighbourhood Houses exist and are here to serve the community! Neighbourhood Houses each celebrate in their own unique way.
2019 Neighbourhood House Week marks 125 years of Neighbours Growing Neighbourhoods. Ever since the first BC Neighbourhood House opened in Vancouver in 1938 (which had been an orphanage since 1894 and is now named Kits House) a wide diversity of people have found a home in their local Neighbourhood House. Yet many in our neighbourhoods have little or no knowledge of what we do here and how we contribute to making the Westside of Vancouver a vibrant, healthy and thriving place.
