ANHBC Welcomes Bob Prenovost as the new CEO!

VANCOUVER, BC (March 19th, 2019) — The ANHBC Board is happy to announce the appointment of a new Chief Executive Officer. Bob Prenovost will join ANHBC effective April 15th. Bob succeeds Deb Bryant, who served as the organization’s CEO before being named YWCA CEO (Metro Vancouver) in late 2018.

Bob is a senior leader who initially gained his hands-on business management skills in the hospitality sector and successfully transferred these skills to the nonprofit and social enterprise sectors. As a result, Bob has a track record of creating and implementing systems and processes that allow and support sustainable business growth.

Bob is not new to the not-for-profit and service sector having founded pm-volunteers.org, a mission driven, values-based initiative that connects highly skilled, project management professionals with not-for-profit organizations. As Executive Director of bc211 Bob dramatically increased its' reach and impact through enhanced online access and being the first agency in Canada to introduce 211 text messaging services. In his most recent role, Bob served as Managing Principal of Propellor Social Enterprise Advisors, a professional practice serving the social enterprise and social purpose real estate sectors.

The ANHBC Board is very excited to welcome Bob to the organization to help guide and build on our 2016 – 2020 Strategic Plan.  Bob will bring his real estate planning expertise to the revitalization and redevelopment of our capital assets in order to ensure our neighbourhood houses and outdoor camp are communities where residents can belong and grow as leaders. Bob also has advanced skills in financial, administrative and people leadership, the combination of which will be used to focus on enhancing the outstanding capacity of our people and organizational identity.

Bob looks forward to joining ANHBC in the lead up to Neighbourhood House Week and as we celebrate our 125th anniversary over the course of 2019!
